Willie PARKER

16/725, Private. b. 1894, Clayton d. 1st July 1916 (aged 22).

Willie was the son of George and Emma Parker, In 1901 census the family are living at 11 Prospect place and by time of next census in 1911, Willie aged 17 is working as a Warp Dressers Apprentice and living with his mother and father and three sisterrs at 108 Woodlands Road.
Willie joined up into he 1st Bradford Pals in 1914. He too was killed in action on the first day of the Somme and is commemorated on Thiepval Memorial.
